Basalto was born from the desire to share the essence of Isabela: the fusion between its natural beauty and the cultural heritage of its people. This little corner is a tribute to the land where we were born, forged by the fire and passion of its volcanoes.

Our little Puerto Villamil is located on a living island, with six active volcanoes that shape its landscape and its soul. And that give us, from time to time, a natural show of incandescent rivers that flow with power but without threat. These eruptions, especially those of the Sierra Negra, are a reminder of the serene strength of our earth, leaving behind solidified lava sheets that, over time, become part of our home.

And it is in honor of these dark and storied rock formations that we borrow the name: Basalt. Because, like the lava that turns into fertile soil, we want to be a place where local flavors, shared stories and human warmth merge into a unique experience.
